Cockpit Arts, the London-based, award-winning creative hub for craft makers, is celebrating a milestone 30th Anniversary this year. To highlight its position as a hotbed of creative talent, they are inviting public inside the doors for a behind-the-scenes look at the central London studios.
The ‘Open Studios’ weekender features nearly 200 craftspeople making everything from jewellery to musical instruments, furniture, lighting, jewellery, fashion accessories, clothing, ceramics and silverware. Fans of the unusual, the unique and the hand-crafted needs to attend, there’s bound to be something here for you to love.
Walking around the stalls is a great opportunity to see the diversity of maker successes, skills and processes and the career journeys that exist for craft makers working in Britain today. Of course, you can put the cash in the hand of the makers too – something you just can’t do on Etsy.
