8 Words for BARROW-IN-Furness Competition

In May 2020, Art Gene invited submissions of ‘8 words only’ for an installation across 8 billboards at Hollywood Park roundabout in Barrow - the '8 Words for Barrow-in-Furness Competition'.

With over 180 entires to the online competition, I have been incredibly lucky to have been chosen as one of the 20 applicants that will be exhibited. This week, I’m looking forward to a lockdown style prize-giving across Zoom, whereupon the authors will be announced and prizes will be presented by Helen Wall, Deputy Mayor for Barrow-in-Furness, and published Walney poet Kate Davis. 

All entries have been created into a digital artwork, for the public to vote for THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD on their Facebook page. Simply LIKE your favourite '8 Words' to vote.
